Artifort F437 Orange Slice
Artifort F437 Orange Slice
1960, Pierre Paulin
Particularities
- Recovering is only possible including new filling material as the covering must be glued to the filling material
- preferably choose a woven fabric or leather as the covering material, so that the design can be completely 'fold-free' and covered as tightly as possible
- Pierre Paulin was able to create his first designs in collaboration with Thonet, such as the CM 137, the predecessor of the F157- Oyster . After this he started working as a designer for Artifort , where he expanded on the techniques he had used in the CM 137. The F437 – Orange slice is a great example of this.
- Artifort emerged from the Maastricht furniture upholstery company 'Wagenmans & van Tuinen'
