Founded in 1927 by Cesare and Umberto Cassina in Meda, Italy, Cassina launched industrial design in Italy in the 1950s, based on a totally innovative approach that marked the transition from craft production to mass production. With a mindset focused on research and innovation, Cassina combines technology with traditional craftsmanship.

Cassina 250 MET by Pierro Lissoni, S.Sook Kim
In 1996, Piero Lissoni, in collaboration with S. Sook Kim, created the sofa series MET designed. This series includes, among other things: armchairs, sofas in different sizes and with one or two armrests, poufs, cushions and tables. Lissoni strongly influenced the landscape of the 1990s with the MET.
The previous years were characterized by unconventional and strongly characterized products.
The MET has a pure and simple form.
Cassina 675 Maralunga by Vico Magistretti
The Cassina Maralunga was designed in 1973 by Vico Magistretti.
The Maralunga proves that large sofas can also be comfortable. The story behind this sofa goes that Cesare Cassina with his fist struck the prototype that Magistretti had designed. He was not satisfied with the comfort. He then broke the back of the couch and there was the final design. The Cassina Maralunga sofa is has since grown into one of the best-known Italian design sofas.
Cassina K10 Dodo by Toshiyuki Kita
The Dodo was designed in the year 2000 by Toshiyuki Kita. This armchair combines Italian design with a comfortable seat. Both the foot as the back support of this Cassina armchair is adjustable with the help of a small lever on the side of the Cassina Dodo armchair.
