Japanese design

The Wink, designed by Japanese designer Toshiyuki Kita, was introduced by the Italian brand Cassina in 1980.

The design was inspired by the Japanese custom of sitting close to the ground. It literally draws you toward the floor surface, offering a sense of tranquility and comfort. In the Wink, Toshiyuki Kita combines aesthetics and functionality without taking himself too seriously, but with a playful wink.
