Base

A solid, powder-coated steel base with an elegant matte black finish — providing stability and a graphic presence that supports the design.

Upholstery

Carefully curated natural leather or pony skin, applied with the craftsmanship that is uniquely Cassina.

Each hide tells its own story – honoring material and heritage.

Frame

An iconic floating frame in high-gloss chromed steel – minimalist, yet monumental in its simplicity.

Chaise longue à reglage continu, durable

Cassina LC4 Hairyskin nero (black)

The LC4 was designed in 1928 by Le Corbusier, Pierre Jeanneret and Charlotte Perriand — as an ode to relaxation. In this version, upholstered in black-spotted pony skin (hairyskin nero), the iconic design gains extra depth: tactile, graphic, and unmistakably vibrant.

The chromed steel frame floats above a matte black steel base. The seat subtly adapts to the body — thanks to the cantilevered design where form and function merge.

You feel it the moment you sit: this piece is not about shape, but about the experience of simply being.

Where design and comfort have come together for almost a century.

First production

Reissued in Switzerland by gallery owner Heidi Weber, labeled “LC104” and other early references.

Cassina

1964

On October 23, 1964, Cassina acquired the exclusive production and sales rights for the works of Le Corbusier, Jeanneret, and Perriand — including the chaise longue.

LC4

1965

I Maestri
