started as a service to friends. In 1959, Charles Eames asked Henry Luce, chairman of the Time-Life publishing house, for images from the magazine archives for 'Glimpses of the USA', a multi-screen presentation at the World's Fair in Moscow. when Henry Luce a
years later had a new headquarters built on the south side of
Rockefeller Center in New York, known as the Time Life Building, early
he Eames to design chairs for the building's lobby and for the management offices.
