André Cordemeyer
André Cordemeyer designed a number of seating units for the Gispen firm in 1961, including the three-seater sofa no. 1715 with or without armrests. Cordemeyer managed to adapt both construction and upholstery as much as possible to the mechanical manufacturing process.
In 1976, he left Gispen to become more involved in engineering design, developing technical products and installations and their social connections. For example, he designed high-voltage pylons and the first windmill in a wind energy project.More information on André Cordemeyer can be found, on the website of Stichting Gispen Collectie
